Last evening's Burger Club was a total blast. My second outing, but certainly not my first trip to The Stand. The quality is consistent over the past few times I have dined on the burgers. The menu gives quite a few options for burgers. The classic with or without cheese as well as a cheeseburger with either cheddar or blue cheese sauce were the choice of the diners at the table. Apparently even if you order it with cheddar, it still comes with blue cheese sauce, which is not overpowering at all. This is usually the burger of choice for myself. The bun held up well to the ratio of meat, cheese, onion marmalade and shredded lettuce. The little extras that won the hearts of all the club members at The Stand which in my opinion always shine through, were the Pot of Pickles (With house made pickled string beans, pearl onions, beets, even some carrots as well as 3 different kinds of pickled cucumbers) the fries and the delicious lightly battered onion rings. Simply sublime! And the Star of the Show was a little sampling of a Kahlua Milk Shake for dessert. Everyone was just stuffed by the end of the meal, but everyone who sampled the tasty treat at dessert enjoyed the adult milk shake.
