I was just reading the reviews by mer and kac and both of them had commented on the week or so it had been since eating this burger, well its probably been 6 months since I ate this burger but I am still gonna try and give an honest assesment. The most memorable element to me was the stale brioch bun. As I have discovered that a lot of bistro style burger joints use the brioch bun which can be overwheming in its density and sweetness. This was the case again here at Metro Cafe. On top of its large sized bun, it tasted like day old bread, thats right, bad move Metro. The meat itself was nicely blended though. It had a loose grind with nice clean flavour with a buttery texture. The romain tomato red onion and chedder combo is hard to mess up, but dude whats up your your buns? The fries were well below par too. Clearly a frozen fry which is unaceptable for a somewhat classy restaurant. The service was really bad, and the wine although nice was a little on the pricey side. I had a great time at Metro, but won't be coming back for the burger.
