we went to the one on Madison between 53rd-54th.
You might be saying to yourself, 'BurgerSeeker, what the krunk are you doing in Burger Heaven?'
Well, our orriginal plan was a bust due to some lame unannounced summer hours down the block. And I know Burger Joint is also in the neighborhood of Prime Burger, but GoldBurger just went the day before, and I was looking for a new joint to review.
I got what I asked for, a new place not on our BIG list, and left with some new thoughts... stick to old favorites when your plans don't work out. I kinda knew what this place was going to be like, and it did look like it might have some potential. I mean for starters the name, how could they have more than one of these guys in prime locations and not be ok? well, maybe most patrons don't get the burger? or maybe they think McD is good... and this is better. I feel for you people.
The good: red onions, toasted sesame seed bun, a good start.
The rest: Just about everything on the plate went south after a few bites. fries, soggy. I went with onion rings that had a nice battered exterior and real onion slices interior, but quickly turned into a stale mass of fried hard thing after it cooled. That nice toasted bun, that got kinda stale too after it cooled. All of us ordered rare which was a first in Club history, and most of the patties came out medium rare (which was what we planned on)... except for MacroBurgerer who got a medium well patty... sent it back as all true fans should do... and less then a minute later got a gushing patty that looked alright (but less than a minute? these guys must be par-broiled if that's the right term for slightly pre-cooked). Well, my burger which was nice and pink at the strating line, finished grey and bland half way through... ? ... was that the par-broiled uneven cooking at work? either way, that sucked.
After leaving Burger Heaven, I felt that burger bloat that I haven't gotten in a while... actually, I had that after Paul's. A sure sigh of a not so good dude. and i want to take my vote back now and give this jerk a D.

I can only concurr with the Burger Sicko on this one. Though the promise of stepping in the land of Burger Heaven, where the spirit and the Burger flame would cautiously be kept alive, sounded so tempting, we ended up in a relatively simple diner, where economics and quick turnover was more de rigueur than the exhilaration of biting into an almost 'heavenly' burger.
At the end, patty was fresh yes, but what did it really tasted like: roast beef or your average Key Food grounded beef. Which means no juiceness besides dripping fat, no char on the outside, not much of this buttery-nutty, yet peppery and leathery savory flavors that have propelled a LugerBurger, and even a simple BJ (aka Buger Joint) to the Burger Hall of Fame. It just ended up falling flat on its bun, like a mayo that you overstirred desperately coz it never really held together. This is your average diner burger, for which i will still give a B+, since i can only reproach those folks for not having put proper care and fuego into what could have otherwise been a very decent burger. Bun had a lot of potential with its toasted round golden look, lettuce and tomatoes were of a nice plastic beauty, the visual really worked. But we BurgerFans here at BC have learnt that we couldn't get fooled by such cliches. The taste matters, more than the name and its promise. Taste is first, should you ever forget it.

Gold Member, a B+? i've gotta get in your head on this one... i mean like what is up with giving this dude a B+?
"average Key Food grounded beef..." "average diner burger"
B+ is above average. yes, it has potential if this and that were executed, and if they had better meat, and if it was blah blah blah... but they failed. it might not be as bad as a D, but it sure ain't no damn B+

I understand your frustration BUrgerSicko, but again, even though the overall experience left me craving for deeper and more taste, there was no major faults on this burger, just not enough flame or burger love in it. Average is already not that bad compared to many burgers we had so far.
Here's the full grading explaination: this burger is worth a B, since besides my A list, i would still prefer BurgerHeaven to most of its B competitor. I gave it a + notch since the visual was definetely good. Look at top pictures, there's a certain esthetic in it.
